Let’s unpack your negative thoughts and self perceptions…

HOW I WORK

By utilizing mindfulness techniques, we will work together to develop strategies and coping skills that will create more calm, invite more present thoughts and feelings, alleviate and quiet intruding thoughts and feelings which disrupt your wellbeing and moving forward.

Negative thoughts and long held self perceptions often keep you trapped in anxious spirals. By utilizing narrative therapy, I support clients with identifying the roots of negative thought spirals and self perceptions. Together, we can explore your complex history, relationships, and cultural trauma to unpack these stories. I incorporate empowering practices to  help you identify your strengths, build your affirmation practice, and reflect on how you can connect to your community on your wellness journey! We do not heal in isolation!

Narrative therapy focuses on helping you find your voice, identify your values, and can support you in owning your unique story.  I utilize narrative therapy to assist clients with discovering their life purpose and aligning to their goals.

I use attachment perspective with couples, in efforts to learn more about each partner's history and patterns of bonding, loving relationships, childhood nurturing, and learned ways of relationship building and expressing love and care. Through this work, I can help couples build positive communication skills, establish boundaries within the partnership, and redefine and define partnership values and rituals.

Therapy is not a  “one size fits all” experience, and I ensure to take your unique lived experiences and identities into consideration.

Empowering entrepreneurs to build confidence, affirm their path, and conquer entrepreneurial uncertainties.

If you are a busy and bustling entrepreneur of color - you may have a different set of struggles. Let’s talk about your strengths as an entrepreneur as well as the fears of uncertainty on your path.  I can support you in building grounding practices and routines to regulate. Additionally, we can explore how the different systems in our society impact your work identity, burn out, and prompt you to question your future. Let’s dig deep and explore your passions!

healing for bipoc and lgbtq+ communities:

I work with Black, indigenous, POC communities as well as LGBTQ+ communities who are deeply impacted by societal, historical and systemic oppression and marginalization. In therapy, we do not shy away from discussing the impact race, culture, privilege and discrimination have in our communities. Together, we can create coping skills and healing practices that affirm our identities while also unpacking historical trauma.

Working with young adults and adults enduring major life transitions and questioning pivotal next steps.

Sometimes roadblocks and that feeling of “stuckness” get in the way of clearing our vision and taking next steps. I work with young adults and adults to build healthy coping skills, work on building and exploring identities, and creating goals that align with your purpose and  values.

Helping Multicultural, LGBTQ and non-binary Queer couples manage work life balance, and deepen their sense of quality time.

Oftentimes in partnership, we forget to create love rituals, routines and grounding practices that can help to deepen the connection. In my work with couples, I help create more opportunities to commit to intentional quality time, incorporate joint self care and self love practices, and align busy work schedules to create a sense of balance.

Additionally, I support couples in naming the systemic, external and oppressive factors that are consciously and unconsciously impacting the partnership. In working with me, we can deconstruct society’s long held beliefs of “romantic love”, and get real about the hardships of creating sustainable healthy love. Using Emotional Focused therapy, attachment work, and a systems perspective, we can learn to unpack our internalized “relationship goals”, and focus on building authentic love and connection.

Helping couple’s separate and find peace in their diverging journeys:

I support couples in the sometimes messy, painful, and heart wrenching process of separating. It can be difficult to make the decision to separate and “call it quits”. I support couple’s in decision making, reflecting on relationship history and roots of conflict, and creating peace in moving forward.  I utilize tools and skills from EFT (Emotional Focused Therapy), attachment work, and solution focused therapy to support couples in this process.

supporting individuals who are trying to process and heal from this multilayered pandemic.

This pandemic has impacted us from different and all intersections of our lives - from racial violence, socio economic disparities, shifts in the work experience, natural disasters and political chaos. It is a lot to unpack! I support clients in finding their way back and redefining their sense of self and community in the midst of our chaotic world. I also help clients develop consistent coping skills, routines, and revamp some of their lifelong goals to match their current life situations.
